Casey Neistat made it look cool, to be flying around Manhattan on a Boosted board.  This film maker came up with his own style for filming his Youtubes about his life and the Golden Boosted board.  I have to admit seeing him on his board got me jealous.  So I will say on record, this Youtuber opened my eyes to things...

For years I was looking for the perfect Last mile vehicle I could use when traveling around or going for short distances. Found it..

So I haven't filmed myself riding the board yet, only because I want to get some riding under my belt first before I start posting anything about Me riding an Electric Long board.  Sorry I know people would like to see Me busting my ass and taking some falls(I wouldn't edit them out)but let me practice first.

Youtube has exploded with New riders of the Boosted board and I love watching the Videos posted. I have picked out my Faves(And some cute boys) So I'm apart of the Boosted board generation now..

So I guess my motivation can be questioned when its comes to the Boosted board.  Last mile vehicle or an excuse to use my Boosted board as a conversation starter with cute skater boys....?

CUTE BOYS DUH!!

Another day of riding and then I will start shooting some Video of my journeys.  Now my Videos wont have the same quality as per say a Casey Neistat.  But I will try to get some good footage for you. The trick will to be riding and filming at the same time.  Some guys use these GoPros and have Drones shooting aerial footage. For now I'm a BASIC BITCH, I can not afford the rigs/drones and these 4K cameras like the professional Youtubers. 

But I'm waiting for the Extended battery, The extended range 199 watt-hour battery averages 12-14 miles.  Twelve miles on a Boosted board? That is Epic and that will get me around town easy and without worrying about taking a bus or cab at night to get home.  That extended battery will open so many doors of how the way I travel and able to do things.  I cant wait...

Anyway, I live in an area with of plenty of hills and nice roads to travel on.  For the future, I will start riding the boosted board in NYC as a commuter vehicle. But baby steps, baby steps...

Besides Winter is coming...

So I figure I got a couple of weeks of riding before either snow or ice is on the ground making it dangerous as fuck to travel around on a Skate board.

 

 

So there I am with my Boosted board, a friend said I looked like a Cheesy smiled kid who just came from ToysRUs.  All smiles from ear to ear and I have to admit the day my board came, I felt a Giant release of nervous energy. I was waiting on this package for five months and finally it got here.

FINALLY GOT MY BOOSTED BOARD

So finally my Boosted board came in today...

I have waited for this thing about five months, and each day checking email after email waiting for my confirmation.  It was a long time coming and finally the day is here and I'm loving it.  It sucks that my board came so late in the year and snow is about to come..

But its here,,

So I did the unpacking of the board and charged it up and hit the road.  Now I'm terrified of riding fast so I started off slowly first and then worked my way up.  So I rode for a couple of hours today and I have to stay riding the board is more fun than I thought it would be. 

I started first by getting my balance and lower center of gravity down.  And then I worked on my turning and handling the board.  But I spent majority of the time learning how to break on Hills and then learning to ride faster and faster.

I felt bold enough and even took my Boosted board on the road into traffic.  I was scared as shit but I managed to get through it and I look forward to riding more around town and stuff.  Starting off slowly but when I build my confidence I will then take the board into NYC and really do some riding.

So I thought about filming my riding around town and showing people that I do know how to ride a Board.  Probably not the best rider around but I picked up on the riding part rather quickly considering I have limited experience riding a board. 

God it feels good to finally say I GOT MY BOARD...

I mean for the last two weeks, I bought three Hoodies, two pairs of pants, three t-shirts, skateboarding sneakers and Nike SB fitted hat and lastly I bought a backpack that could carry my board and some clothes when I travel around this good ole U.S.

So before the snow comes I need to get some serious riding in before the snow hits the ground.  I figure I will not be riding board when snow is on the ground.  I definitely not riding my board as soon as they put the Street salt down on the roads.  The salt will destroy my motor and wear down the belts on my board.  So as soon as snow hits the ground, I'm booking a plane ticket to warmer state with no snow and do some riding over there.

Finally I have piece of mind now, I'm not sitting around waiting and waiting for my board anymore and finally I can relax and just Ride/Live/Have fun.

So there you have it, my board came and now I can finally Act like a middle aged man.  Since going through this Midlife crisis, what better way to start by buying some Adult toys and getting some Twinks to fuck.

Oh yeah.....

So I took my board out earlier and all the boys are staring at me on my board.  All the questions about how to ride it? How fast does it go? Blah Blah Blah..

Of course the whole time the skater boys are asking me questions, I'm mentally undressing them.  I know I'm a pervert but I'm a proud pervert..

Anyway I figure I would start filming my rides tomorrow and give people a taste of how does it feel on the board riding..

I'm smiling from ear to ear now...

Finally the DAMN thing got here...

GOT MY FEDEX CONFIRMATION .....

I got it....


Finally the FedEx confirmation came today for my Boosted board.  Its almost like a fairy tail I have waited for this board for 5 months, taking trips to Barbados and Cancun Mexico and I could have used this board when I visited those places...

But Finally Its coming...

Now the countdown has begun....

Now I rode a Long board once or twice in my lifetime, so I stranger to all this riding around and especially an electric skateboard that can go 22mph.  So Yikes I can see the bumps and bruises that will result in teaching myself how to ride safely.  I think the basic element I want to pick first will be stopping and braking. I think those are the Most important to Me, cause I live in a area with a lot of hills and I can see me getting Road rash falling off my board.

Anyway in a state of shock....

But I'm guessing I have about a month or so until weather starts getting REAL bad before I need to hang up the board until Spring.  Fuck I shelled out 1,600 to be able to ride for a month? I must be crazy or something.  But whatever, What is done is done..

Okay I have to admit to one of reasons of getting this board besides Transportation:


The Cute boys, need I say more? I  mean skate boys...Sigh.  The only thing I can't stand about Skaters? Motherfuckers are always broke.  I mean you have the "Real" skaters out there pushing everyday. And then you have your Hipster Skaters, where they push, but they want to look nice and still be able to skate. Then you have Me, I don't want to push, I just want to coast and Look good doing it.  So I guess you would call me a Poser.

This Poser had to go out and get his skater clothes.

I will be living outside my comfort zone trying new things. Which means I have a learning curve again. cause I don't know how to ride one of these things.

But..

If I want to get good at something I must try and try and try again to succeed in it. Right?  I mean that is the way I see things.  Different strokes for different folks right? Anyway I think I'm raving about nothing really.

Its just that my board came in....

IM HAPPY AS FUCK RIGHT NOW...

So when I start working on my skills on the board, I will start posting some skating Vids.  That will be fun and something different for a change...

Like I said this blog is about doing something and living life outside of porn for change.

What is a 6'6 240lbs Black man doing on a electric skateboard?

Good question.

I don't have that much riding experience on a skateboard, so why am I paying $1,600 for one?  Well I have been looking at electric skateboards(Hybrids) for a couple of years now.  But the market didn't have many that were well reviewed and had the power and versatility that I needed as a Last mile vehicle.

Last mile vehicle?

For years I was tired of visiting a new city and never having transportation to travel around in the city. I didn't want to rent a car because I was only traveling around in the city(5-7mile radius)then looking/paying for parking? Fuck that!
 They have those new City bikes where u can rent a bike for the day. But I wanted something that I can basically carry with Me.  Not having to lock it up outside and hope/pray your bike is still there and wasn't stolen.  Jumping on the train is a hassle with a bike and takes up too much room. 
And most importantly, I can Fly with it. I needed something I was able to travel with and with a Boosted board you can fly without a problem.

Now why a Boosted Board?

I looked at several models before settling on the Boosted board.

I looked at the Evolve Carbon GT www.evolveskateboardsusa.com

Now at first, this was my choice of board.  Something about the Carbon fiber board and the range and power this board has.  Only problem with the board, you can't fly with it due the power wattage of the board. The batteries of this monster is not TSA approved for commercial Flights...
Game changer, that put me in a Funk. Why am I going to spend so much money and cant travel with the board?  Strike one

Then I looked at the Enertion Board www.enertionboards.com

Now this board is a monster,but yet again

You can't travel with this board due to the batteries having too much wattage.  It fucking sucks!  I mean I had to do the research and go to the TSA site for clarification on what skateboards and batteries can board planes.  And this board was Strike two...

I even looked at this thing called the URB-E

Now its an electric Scooter, now I was looking at this REAL quick.  At first it had my attention then upon closer studying. The scooter folds to the size of a Carry on bag and I thought to myself.  I'm going to tour around a city carrying this?
Firstly it doesn't look cool. Secondly having to carry around this thing like a carry on bag felt like It would be a pain in the ass. The Boosted board weighs 15lbs, and this Scooter is at about 30lbs.  The Boosted Board gets a top speed of 22-25mph, and this Scooter gives you a top speed of 15mph so the Boosted board is lighter and goes faster.

Plus More importantly having a Long Board is HELLA COOLER...than having some punkass Scooter.  I'm sorry I have to be real and call it like I see it.

Now as far as being a Poser...

For months I have been preparing for the arrival of the Board.  I even started buying skateboard clothing and THAT is where I feel like I'm a Poser.  Why I am buying Skateboard clothing when I don't know how to ride?  That is some real POSER SHIT...

I will admit I always had a crush on those Skater boys, you see them running through the city on their skateboards doing tricks and just being a Badass.  Now I'm having thoughts about chasing more skateboarders, they are just so fucking cute.  But lets be real, Skaters are cute but not the cleanliest bunch of boys around.  The raggedy pants and clothes and every skater boy has bruises and marks and road rash on their bodies.  Again if you can stand the smell of Funk, JUMP IN.  Its a safer bet to get one of those Hipster Skateboarders, they have a lot more style and flare to Me. 

Just my opinion is all.


Anyway I'm waiting on my Boosted Board to be shipped.  I have waited 5 months for this board and its all I think about at the moment.  The wait is killing me...

Well Hello World,


First post on this blog....

Where to start? Well If you need any back story. Former Porn Star Diesel Washington.  I guess I say former is because I have decided to move on.  How do you explain to yourself, that you have been in an Industry for almost 12yrs playing a Porn Star? 

I guess what I mean to say is that, I didn't plan staying in the Industry this long.  This was unexpected and I just let myself get sucked into the Hype and Glam again.  Now I went through that whole cliché of Retiring to unretired and back and forth, not knowing what I really wanted to do in this Industry. 

I did the whole modeling thing and I was very successful at portraying this "Power Top" that just comes in and FUCKS all these boys stupid.  Yeah that was Me, that aggressive Top that comes in and bends over the boys and goes to work.  Anymore descriptions and I will start to sound like my Porn Persona.  Sigh.

So what is this?

I can jump in and out of the Porn world when I want to.  I paid my dues and earned my spot and I think I needed to go back to writing because:
